  Being an African American, Ives experienced a unfair share of discriminations. After recent events with the Starbucks that discriminated against those gentlemen, I had to tell my story about what happened at this location. I came in after my pick up basketball. I was tired and drained from playing and just felt like a Starbucks drink. There was no customers in the store only me. The worker was busy doing something. Another Caucasian family walked in behind literally a min or two later. The worker was still busy. The clerk finally turned around. When she turned around she looked at the family and asked them how can I help you to them and not me. The father said , he was here first. She then looked at me and said, "oh did you want water?". I said "No I would like to order"..I definitly felt like she implied I was homeless or something. I have never been back since and don't plan on visiting Starbucks for my personal ever again.
